Vintage Style Wrap Apron Dress

Pattern Review: Simplicity 8763

“I’m thrilled with how this apron-style wrap dress turned out—it exudes femininity. It has a really Little House on the Prairie look.

The fabric choice makes it perfect for layering over leggings on cooler days, as it is somewhat see-through.

The dress features multiple darts, making it best suited for intermediate sewers. While the instructions were lacking in places, a creative mindset helped overcome any challenges.

I used rayon from my stash, opting for a white rayon for the front bottom flounce since I didn’t have enough for the ruffle.

If I make this dress again, I’ll choose a more opaque fabric.
The pattern is the Simplicity 8763, one of their Verity Hope series of patterns.
