An Orange Splash Dress

I made this dress many years ago and still love it today.

The dress was a modification of a pattern created by a dressmaker with the original pattern not having any sleeves. I added sleeves from another pattern and fashioned them to fit the dress mostly because I was desperate for a Winter dress at the time.

The fabric is a self lining one-way stretch with a black lining that enhances the orange. Because of the stretch, no zipper is needed, I tend to try to avoid dresses with zippers.

On the whole, it is a very easy dress to make and super comfortable to wear.
