The Hedonist Housecoat
Crochet Pattern Review
I love to crochet; it is relaxing and fast to do. I learned to crochet from an early age and was taught by my creative and talented mother. Needless to say, over the years, I have made many garments and throws.
In 2017, I came across a pattern for a completely crocheted cardigan, also known as the Hedonist Housecoat. Since there were numerous vibrant and playful yarn options to choose from, I decided to make it my project for late summer and early autumn ready to wear that Winter.
I’m passionate about crochet, and as I write this, I feel inspired to start a new project. The pattern is straightforward and includes both written instructions and video tutorials for beginners.
What I really enjoy about this cardigan is that it was pretty affordable to create, as I used a low-cost acrylic. The sleeves are great because they’re 3/4 length, and the pockets are nice and deep, making it ideal for lounging at home (or dare I say doing the housework).
This cardigan is not something I would wear when going out, but it is the perfect extra layer for a chilly day at home. It has become the mainstay addition to my wardrobe every Autumn and Winter.
The pattern is available to download from Heart, Hook, Home.
