Mens Pajamas (more like Lounge Pants)
Pattern Review: Thread Theory – Eastwood Pajamas
This summer, despite the heat, my husband insists on wearing track pants in the evenings, claiming he has nothing else comfortable. Just watching him makes me feel warm! To solve this, I discovered the Thread Theory Eastwood Pajamas – perfect lounge pants that are not only simple to make but stylish enough to wear out of the house.
These pajamas come with delightful features like deep front pockets, a patch pocket at the back, and a comfortable elastic and corded waist. Perfect for men of all sizes, the pattern offers generous leg length for taller frames.
To accommodate my husband’s preferences, I crafted his first pair from a high-quality 100% cotton double bed sheet I found in my linen cupboard. Although he typically dislikes the idea of repurposing bed sheets into clothing, claiming he can always tell the difference, this fabric worked beautifully.
Instead of traditional small buttonholes for the cord holes, which might not withstand wear in lighter fabric, I opted for metal eyelets. This alternative not only offers durability but also gives the pants a more polished, professional look. I did not add a fly or a mock fly as was requested by my fussy husband.
The result, he loves them, I do to, they look great on him. In the coming months, I’ll be adding more Eastwood Pajamas (lounge pants) for all seasons to his wardrobe, allowing him to finally get rid of some of those less-than-stylish track pants.
